In Bengaluru, Samsung and Mahindra launched a unique partnership today. Users of Samsung Galaxy smartphones will be able to start, unlock, and lock their Mahindra electric SUVs without a physical key thanks to this agreement. “Now Mahindra electric cars may be opened with a digital key,” stated Madhur Chaturvedi, Senior Director, Services and Apps Business, Samsung India, in reference to this new feature. This removes the concern of quickly forgetting the actual key. A QR code can also be used by family members or relatives to access the key.

Madhur Chaturvedi added that in addition to being user-friendly, this technology offers state-of-the-art security. Complete security is guaranteed with this digital key’s Samsung Knox defense-grade security. Because of this capability, the digital key can function even when the phone is off or the battery is low. Samsung Knox will protect this feature, guarding against abuse. In the event that the phone is lost, Samsung Find will also enable remote locking or key deletion.

In partnership with Samsung, Mahindra has become the first car company in India to launch the Digital Car Key function. Currently, Mahindra’s electric SUVs, the BE 6 and XEV 9e, will have this feature. This function, which ushers in a new era of futuristic networked cars, is seen as an important leap in smart automobile technology in India.

On compatible Galaxy phones, the Digital Car Key feature will be accessible through Samsung Wallet. The smartphone will take over as the main access point once it is connected to the car. Users are free to cancel access at any moment and share their digital key with others for a limited amount of time.
