Bihar assembly election 2025 update: The Bihar assembly election campaign is in full swing, with all political parties exerting all their might. The state’s political landscape is now spiralling into tension over seat-sharing. The seat-sharing arrangement between the NDA and the Grand Alliance has created drama throughout the night.

Congress and VIP in the Grand Alliance, while Nitish Kumar and Chirag Paswan in the NDA, have added to the trouble. At one point, it seemed Nitish Kumar might break ties with the NDA, but that’s unlikely. Late in the night, Chirag Paswan, Lalu Prasad Yadav, and the BJP distributed symbols, leading to continued high-voltage drama.

RJD focuses on social equations

As ticket distribution for the Bihar assembly elections began, differences emerged within the NDA and Grand Alliance. The Rashtriya Janata Dal continued distributing symbols to its candidates until late Tuesday night. The RJD nominated its leader, Tejashwi Yadav, from the Raghopur seat. He is still the MLA from Raghopur, a seat the RJD has long held.

In addition, Mukesh Roshan has been nominated for Mahua, Osama for Raghunathpur, Awadh Bihari Chaudhary for Siwan, Israel Mansoori for Kanti, Vishwanath Yadav for Belganj, Rakesh Roshan for Islampur, Anirudh Yadav for Bakhtiyarpur, Ramanuj Yadav for Sonpur, Ramanand Yadav for Fatuha, Alok Mehta for Ujiyairpur, Rambriksh Sada for Alauli, Surendra Ram for Garkha, Chandrashekhar Yadav for Madhepura, Arvind Sahni for Sarairanjan, Prem Shankar Yadav for Baikunthpur, Prema Chaudhary for Patepur, Dev Kumar Chaurasia for Hajipur, Shankar Prasad Yadav for Paru, Rahul Tiwari for Shahpur, Bhola Yadav for Bahadurpur, Mo Nihaluddin for Rafiganj, and Chandra Hans Chaupal for Singheshwar.

BJP also distributed symbols

The BJP office in Patna also distributed symbols to candidates throughout the night. This time, the BJP appeared to be betting on several new and old faces.

After receiving their symbols last night, the candidates set out to campaign in their respective constituencies. The BJP has already given tickets to only 71 candidates in its first list. This time, the party is leaving no stone unturned in Bihar and is preparing to contest every seat vigorously. Earlier, the BJP had released its first list on Tuesday, announcing the names of 71 candidates.
