India’s SUV queen, the Mahindra Scorpio, is once again in the news. Its sales broke records in September 2025. Mahindra sold a total of 18,372 units of both the Scorpio Classic and Scorpio N, an increase of approximately 27% compared to last year. Price
After the GST reduction, the Mahindra Scorpio N has become cheaper than before. Its new ex-showroom price starts from ₹13.20 lakh and goes up to ₹24.17 lakh (Z8L Carbon Edition Diesel AT 4×4). The company has reduced its price by approximately ₹1.45 lakh, making the SUV even more affordable.

Design and Features
The Mahindra Scorpio N sports a bolder and more premium look than ever before. Its front end features projector headlamps, LED DRLs, and vertical taillamps, giving it a classic SUV feel. The 18-inch alloy wheels and stylish grille further enhance its aesthetics.
Interior features include a spacious 7-seater cabin with premium features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12-speaker Sony sound system, wireless charging, ventilated seats, and a panoramic sunroof. The Z8L variant also features Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), which includes features like lane-keep assist and adaptive cruise control.
Safety
The Mahindra Scorpio N also excels in terms of safety. It has received a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP. It includes features like six airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Hold Assist, Hill Descent Control, and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). Additionally, features like ISOFIX child seat anchors and an ADAS suite make it an ideal SUV for family use.
Engine and Performance
The Mahindra Scorpio N is available in two engine options: a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. The other is a 2.2-liter mHawk turbo diesel engine mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox. The 4×4 drivetrain is available only in the diesel version, making it an excellent choice for off-road enthusiasts. Whether driving on highways or on mountain trails, the Scorpio N offers excellent grip and smooth performance on all terrains.

Mileage
The Mahindra Scorpio N also has excellent mileage in its segment. According to ARAI, the diesel versions offer a mileage of 15.42 to 15.94 km/l, while the petrol versions offer a mileage of around 12 km/l. According to user reports, in real-world conditions, the diesel engine offers an average mileage of 14.5-16 km/l, while the petrol engine offers a mileage of 12-14 km/l. If you opt for the 4×4 model, you may get slightly lower mileage, but the powerful driving experience more than makes up for it.
