If you’re considering buying a new SUV this Diwali, the Hyundai Exter could be a great option. In October 2025, the company announced a Diwali benefit of up to ₹50,000 on this entry-level SUV. It’s the company’s third-best-selling car after the Creta and Venue. Following the implementation of the new GST 2.0, its starting price has dropped from ₹599,900 to ₹568,033. The Exter competes with cars like the Tata Punch, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite in the Indian market.

Variants and New Prices
The Hyundai Exter’s EX variant, which was priced at ₹599,900, has now been reduced to ₹568,033. The SX Tech Dual CNG variant has received the biggest price cut. Its previous price was ₹9,58,290, which has now come down to ₹8,76,569. This translates to a total savings of ₹81,721.
Hyundai Exter EX Variant Features
The EX variant is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol MT engine. Features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, central locking, keyless entry, 3-point seat belts for all seats, a seat belt reminder, LED tail lamps, a digital instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch MID, front power windows, adjustable rear headrests, manual AC, driver seat height adjustment, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, hill start assist, and vehicle stability management.
Hyundai Exter S Variant Features
The S variant includes all the features of the EX variant, plus features like a tire pressure monitoring system, an 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, voice recognition, four speakers, steering-mounted controls, rear AC vents, rear power windows, electrically adjustable wing mirrors, a USB Type-C port, a rear parcel tray, a day/night IRVM, and electric folding wing mirrors on the AMT model.
Hyundai Exter SX Variant Features
The SX variant includes all the features of the S variant, plus a rear parking camera, a rear defogger, ISOFIX mounts, projector headlamps, 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, a shark fin antenna, a sunroof, paddle shifters (AMT), and cruise control on the petrol model.

Hyundai Exter SX (O) Variant Features
The SX (O) variant includes all the features of the SX variant, plus automatic headlamps, footwall lighting, Smart Key for keyless entry, Keyless Go, a wireless charger, 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear lever, a cooled glove box, a rear wiper and washer, and a luggage lamp.
The SX (O) variant also offers advanced features like a dashcam, front and rear mudguards, an 8-inch touchscreen with BlueLink, ambient sounds of nature, Home Car Link with Alexa, and OTA updates for map and infotainment.
