UP sanitation workers get gift, Rs 20,000 will be credited to their accounts

New Delhi: If you’re a sanitation worker in Uttar Pradesh, you’re in for a big treat before Diwali. The government has won hearts by announcing a substantial pre-Diwali payment for sanitation workers. An amount of 16,000 to 20,000 rupees will soon be transferred to their accounts, proving to be a pre-Diwali relief.

In addition, sanitation workers will receive free treatment up to ₹5 lakh, for which they will be issued Ayushman cards. This announcement was made by none other than Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself. Following this announcement on Monday, the faces of sanitation workers are beaming with excitement.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath opened the coffers for sanitation workers at the Swatantra Mitra Samman ceremony in Piplani Katra, Varanasi, on Monday. During the ceremony, he also announced Diwali gifts for sanitation workers. Yogihonouredd the sanitation workers who made the best contributions during the Swachhata Hi Seva Pakhwada.

Along with this, they were also given sanitation kits. He also showered flowers on the sanitation workers. He announced that all establishments and offices will be closed on October 7th, marking Lord Valmiki’s birth anniversary. CM Yogi further stated that Lord Valmiki is the architect of India’s Rishi tradition, the destiny of Sanatan Dharma.

How much money will be transferred to their accounts?

CM Yogi stated that no one will be able to exploit sanitation workers. He stated that within a few days, an amount of ₹16,000 to ₹20,000 will be transferred to their accounts. Furthermore, seven government sanitation workers and sanitation families will receive free medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh annually.

For this, the government will issue them Ayushman cards. He also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that in 2014, the Prime Minister launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission), aimed at raising awareness among citizens about cleanliness.
