Driving test rules will change across Bihar starting October 1st. Taking a test on a testing track will now be mandatory for getting a driving license. This new system will make the process of issuing driving licenses more transparent. The Transport Department has given clear instructions to all district officials to follow these new rules.

While this system is already in place in Patna and Aurangabad, taking a test on a testing track will be required in all districts of the state starting March 1st, 2025. According to the new rules, all applicants must take a test on a testing track to get a driving license. Maruti is working to upgrade the testing tracks to a high-tech system. Candidates will now have to take the test manually. This new rule will ensure transparency in issuing driving licenses and end the practice of getting licenses without a proper test.

How to Apply for a Driving Licence

According to the new rules, applicants must first apply online. They will then go to the testing track on the date given to them. At the track, applicants will take the test under CCTV surveillance.

For a learning licence, applicants must submit identity proof, address proof, age proof, and four passport-size photographs. They will also be asked questions about traffic rules, which they must answer correctly.
