Update
Until now, ABS (anti-lock braking system) wasn’t available on any variant of the TVS Raider 125. But this is the biggest change in the 2025 model. The new Raider will feature single-channel ABS. This means the system will only work on the front wheel. The biggest advantage of ABS is that the bike’s wheel won’t lock up during sudden braking, and your braking remains under control, especially on slippery roads. This feature adds a new level of safety to your vehicle. Furthermore, for the first time, the bike is also equipped with a rear disc brake, making braking even more effective and sharp. The front disc will remain at 240mm, while the rear disc is expected to be 220mm.
Tires and Stability
The new TVS Raider 125 has been improved not only for safety but also for stability and road grip. The bike’s tire sizes have been changed and are now wider. The old model had an 80/100-17 front tire and a 100/90-17 rear tire. The new model now has a 90/90-17 front tire and a 110/80-17 rear tire. The benefits of this change will be that the bike will feel more stable on straight roads and have even better road grip when cornering. It’s as if an athlete has now received better shoes, further enhancing their performance.
Look and Color Options
When it comes to looks, TVS has spared no effort. The 2025 Raider 125 will be launched in an all-new red color option. This new paint scheme features white stripes on the fuel tank, a red front wheel, and a black rear wheel. This dual-tone look makes the bike even more attractive and sporty. However, this variant doesn’t feature a TFT display unit like the top-end SX variant, but instead features a simple LCD console. Considering all this, it’s speculated that this upgraded model could be based on the iGo variant, which sits mid-level on the variant list.
Price
The most important question that may be on your mind is its price. Currently, the TVS Raider 125 iGo variant is priced at ₹90,500 (ex-showroom), and the top-end SX variant is priced at ₹94,500 (ex-showroom). Since the new model adds important features like ABS and a rear disc brake, which cost more, it’s expected that the upgraded iGo variant will be priced the same or slightly higher than the existing SX variant. No changes have been made to the bike’s engine or other mechanical components yet, but this will only be confirmed after an official announcement from TVS.
