Tata SUV Launches 2025 in India : The year 2025 promises to be Tata Motors’ golden year among the slew of automakers going into a frenzy with refreshing designs and better features in line to meet what buyers demand from new models: ICE and EV versions. The new portfolio of SUVs aims to cater not only to budget-seeking buyers but also premium customers seeking electric options. So, let’s check the latest on what we know about the new Tata SUVs, their features, price expectations, and possible date of hitting the Indian roads.

Tata Harrier EV & Safari EV

Most awaited of all launches, according to popular speculation, is Harrier EV, which Tata claims will make the new-age EV experience with modern features: dual motors (for higher variants, AWD), large battery packs, and modern cabin tech through the active ev platform. It is expected to give around 400-500 km from each charge. Even though it does not have a Level-2 ADAS, safety features such as multiple airbags and advanced charging options including V2L / V2V in some reports are expected.

Similar features with an added twist (a bit more space as it will usually come in a 6- or 7-seater format) are what one could expect from the forthcoming Safari EV. The expected price for Safari EV is higher than that of Harrier EV since it will be bigger than the Harrier in size. Both these electric SUVs are expected to be launched sometime between mid-to-late 2025.

Tata Sierra (ICE & EV)

Another interesting upcoming model is Sierra, returning in ICE as well as EV iterations. The ICE version will most probably come with petrol and diesel options. The EV version of the Sierra will use Tata’s new-age EV platform promising to offer good range as well some modern electric drive features. Nostalgic but modern designs are expected with premium finishes, connected LED lighting, and possibly three screens or floating display layout inside. The EV is expected sometime around October 2025, whereas ICE could come close. Price estimates of the Sierra EV are between ₹25-30 lakh ex-showroom.

Tata Punch Facelift

Not every detail is exclusive to the big SUVs or to EVs, however. Tata is also working on a facelift to the smaller Punch SUV. This will not be a total redesign, but just some updated styling changes-new grille, bumpers, perhaps some fresh alloy wheels, and updated cabin trims expected. The mechanicals would be pretty much the same, though. This punch facelift is scheduled for around September-October 2025, while the pricing is likely to remain in the compact SUV category, so affordable.

Harrier Petrol & Safari Petrol Updates

To offer buyers who prefer petrol the option, Tata is also developing a new petrol engine, probably a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, for Harrier and Safari. These variants will help to lower the barrier to entry of the Harrier and Safari models while offering more consumer choices. These are expected to be launched sometime in late 2025 or early 2026.

What It Means for Buyers

These new Tata SUVs offer consumers even more variety-electrified and petrol types, topped by more technology, extra comfort, and much fresher styling. In the case of an EV, the Harrier EV and Sierra EV, expected from Tata, may very well be appealing thanks to their range and features. For now, ICE customers will be left with petrol variants of Harrier and Safari along with the facelifted Punch; definitely safer ground for now. Good EVs do require more cash at the onset, and that is not going to change, but Tata seems to be putting some of them in quite a competitive position.
