The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) started the FASTag Annual Pass on August 15, 2025. The cost of this pass is ₹3,000. It is made to help private vehicle owners so they do not face the problem of paying tolls again and again. This pass will be valid for one year or 200 toll trips, whichever comes first. But to use this pass, it is very important to activate it in the right way. Let us see how to do it.
How to Activate FASTag Annual Pass
First, download the Rajmarg Yatra app or go to the NHAI website. You can only activate the pass through this app or website.
Log in with your mobile number or vehicle number (VRN). Make sure your FASTag is active, fixed on the vehicle, linked to the VRN, and not blocked.
Enter your vehicle and FASTag details. You may need to upload RC, ID proof, address proof, and a passport-size photo.
Pay ₹3,000 using UPI, debit card, credit card, or net banking. You cannot pay with FASTag wallet. After payment, you will get a message. The pass usually works in 2 hours but may take up to 24 hours.
This pass is only for non-commercial vehicles like cars, jeeps, and vans. It will save time at tolls and make travel easier. You must activate it correctly to use it.

In the first five days, many people bought the pass. More than 6.5 lakh people bought it for ₹3,000. Around 10.5 lakh FASTag vehicles passed tolls in these five days.
