Honda Shine 100 DX Launched in India – Stylish 100cc Bike to Rival Hero Splendor

Honda Motorcycle India has launched its new 100cc bike, the Honda Shine 100 DX, in India. This bike comes with several new features and a distinct design appeal compared to its sister Shine 100. Attractive and Stylish Design

To attract customers, Honda has given the Shine 100 DX a very stylish look. The bike has a slightly modern and premium feel. It features a chrome-accented headlamp, a muscular fuel tank, a grab rail, and a wide, single-piece seat that provides comfortable riding. The company has also used modern color tones and graphics to enhance the bike’s appeal. It will be available in showrooms in four vibrant colors – black, gray, blue, and red.

Powerful Features Also Present

The Honda Shine 100 DX features a fully digital LCD instrument cluster, which is a major upgrade. Its display provides important information such as real-time mileage, a digital clock, distance to empty, and a gear position indicator. It also has a side stand cut-off feature, which is standard on modern bikes these days. The bike now also has a larger 10-liter fuel tank, which is 1 liter more than the Shine 100.

Excellent Hardware and Suspension

The bike features telescopic forks at the front and 5-step adjustable twin shock absorbers at the rear, perfect for Indian roads. Braking is handled by drum brakes at both the front and rear, which come with a combination braking system. The Shine 100 DX comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, which give it a sporty look.

Engine and Powerful Performance

The Honda Shine 100 DX is powered by a 98.98cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 7 hp of power and 8.04 Nm of torque. It comes with a 4-speed gearbox and offers both self-start and kick-start options. The Shine 100 DX is expected to deliver an impressive fuel economy of 55-60 km/l, making it an excellent choice for everyday use.

Competition

Honda has launched the Shine 100 DX to directly compete with the Splendor. It will also compete with bikes like the Hero HF Deluxe, Bajaj CT100X, and TVS Sport 110, making the competition even more exciting.
