Design and Build: Balanced and Sleek

Meizu 22 has been crafted with symmetry. Weighing 190 grams and 8.15mm thick, the phone features a 2.5D micro-arc front design along with 1.2mm ultra-thin bezels on the sides. Meizu refers to it as a 50:50 balanced design that is comfortable and symmetrical in the hand. The phone features an independent AI button that is capable of launching more than 20 customizable shortcuts on a single tap, enhancing daily usability.

Display: Vibrant, Smooth, and Eye-Friendly

On the front, the phone features a 6.3-inch 1.5K screen with a dynamic 1–120Hz refresh rate for the smoothest scrolling and most efficient power consumption. The panel delivers an eye-popping 6000 nits of peak brightness and is among the brightest panels available, with the bonus of DCI-P3 color gamut support for realistic-looking images. To protect users’ eyes during extended use, Meizu uses RuRan Eye Protection Technology, with hardware-level low blue light filtering combined with DC dimming.

Camera System: Four 50MP Lenses

Meizu hasn’t been stingy in terms of the camera system, including four 50MP sensors in total. On the back is a 50MP wide-angle lens (OV50H with OIS), 50MP 3x periscope telephoto (Sony IMX882, OIS, support for tele-macro), and a 50MP ultra-wide lens (OV50D, 122° FoV, macro up to 2.5cm). On the front is a 50MP AI selfie camera that ensures sharp, high-resolution selfies with HDR optimization for backlit shots. This steady camera resolution makes the Meizu 22 a jack-of-all-trades shooter.

Performance and Battery: Flagship Power

Behind the hood, the Meizu 22 is fueled by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, supported by a 4500mm² VC liquid cooling system to ensure constant performance. The phone is powered by a 5,500mAh battery, sporting 80W wired charging and 66W wireless charging support, with both being fast and convenient. Complemented with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage (in pro versions), the phone delivers pure multitasking and gaming performance.

Flyme AIOS 2: Safer Experience

The new Flyme AIOS 2 update enriches the smartphone experience with more intelligent AI features like AI drawing, AI filters, removal of pedestrians, glare removal, and reduction of moiré. Productivity-focused features like Small Window Mode 5.0, Game Assistant, and Smart Travel make the phone easy to use for entertainment as well as daily use. For vehicle owners, Flyme Auto 2 and Flyme Link provide greater device-to-vehicle integration, expanding the ecosystem beyond the smartphone device.

Limited Edition and Additional Features

Meizu 22 also includes a linear vibration motor, infrared remote control, UWB support (on the high-end model), and IP66/IP68 dust and water resistance. But only the 16GB + 1TB variant includes UWB, USB 3.2, and DisplayPort 1.2 support, while lower variants are limited to USB 2.0 speeds. A Homecoming: China Flagship Limited Edition includes a unique aircraft carrier-inspired design, UI, custom accessories, and collectible plaques.
