The Municipal Corporation has also set up a help centre for this. More focus will be placed on women of urban areas in this. On Tuesday, Bhagalpur Mayor Basundhra Lal flagged off four special promotional vehicles from the Municipal Corporation premises for promotion. All these vehicles will go around all the wards of the Municipal Corporation and make women aware of this scheme.

On this occasion, the Mayor of Bhagalpur gave information and said that this scheme is a revolutionary step toward women’s empowerment. He said that under this scheme, financial assistance and technical guidance will be provided to women to start a business. Through the promotional vehicle, women will also be provided with information about the benefits of the scheme, the application process, a copy of the necessary documents and related government offices.

Aim and objective of the scheme

According to the mayor, the main objective of this campaign is to reach those women who are deprived of the benefits of the scheme due to a lack of information. This promotional campaign will go door-to-door to inspire women to entrepreneurship. It can work to encourage them to become self-reliant.

This scheme can not only empower women economically. It can also work to strengthen their participation and role in society. Rs 10,000 will be transferred to the account of women of the self-help group to get employment from the scheme.
