In today’s time, the Aadhaar card is the most important document of our identity, and it is equally important for children. According to the rules of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), it is very important to update the Aadhaar card of children from time to time. If you do not do this, then in the future your child may face difficulty in taking advantage of many government schemes and services.

When to update

According to the rules of UIDAI, it is mandatory to update the Aadhaar card of children in two important stages:

Children Aadhaar Updated

On completion of 5 years of age

When the child turns 5 years old, his biometric data (fingerprint and iris scan) has to be updated for the first time.

On completion of 15 years of age

Similarly, when the child turns 15 years old, it is necessary to update his biometric data for the second time, because by this age, the child’s physical changes have taken place.
