While pricing has not been announced yet, the company has given us an entire glimpse into what this new device has to offer.

Design and Display: Functional but No-frills
The Honor X7d 5G sports a 6.77-inch TFT LCD providing a 1610 x 720 resolution. This may not be as crisp as FHD screens, but it should suffice for relaxed streaming, web browsing, and gaming. The display’s peak brightness is up to 850 nits, so it is quite usable outdoors. Honor has also provided its eye comfort technology, which is supposed to minimize strain while viewing for long hours. Even though it is an affordable phone, the phone has a minimalistic appearance and has two color options Velvet Black and Desert Gold.
Performance: Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 Power
At its core, the X7d 5G is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, paired with an Adreno 619 GPU. This chipset is built for efficiency and moderate performance, ensuring smooth handling of day-to-day tasks. The device ships in a single variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which should be sufficient for most budget users.
Software: Up-to-Date with MagicOS 9.0
On the software side, Honor has moved ahead with the phone coming pre-installed with Android 15. The device also runs the firm’s MagicOS 9.0 skin, which includes customization, productivity features, and system optimization. To come pre-installed on a budget phone is a significant point in its favor.
Cameras: Easy Setup for Daily Use
The camera on the X7d 5G is managed by a dual-camera system at the rear, comprising a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. It will not match mid-range or flagship smartphones, but should yield decent snaps in the sunlight. For selfies and video calls, there is a 5MP camera at the front, suited for casual usage.
Battery and Connectivity: The Real Highlight
The Honor X7d 5G’s largest selling point is its gigantic 6,500mAh dual-cell battery. Paired with 35W SuperCharge support, the phone promises long usage along with quicker recharging. Other connectivity features include dual SIM slots, 5G, Wi-Fi 5, NFC, and dual speakers that Honor claims to produce “400 percent volume.” Other features include IP65 water and dust resistance and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and the device weighs 206 grams.
Verdict: Budget 5G with a Humongous Battery
Honor has not yet mentioned the price or international availability of the X7d 5G, but the phone sits comfortably as an affordable gateway to 5G smartphones. Equipped with its big battery, sensible performance, and refreshed software, it appears to be a compelling choice for cost-conscious shoppers looking for dependability over top-of-the-line features. Price will finally determine how aggressive it will be in its category.
