If Provident Fund (PF) is cut from your salary, then you should know that you can withdraw all the money from your PF account even before retirement, if needed. You can do this from your mobile while sitting at home through the Umang app.
This type of withdrawal is called full and final withdrawal because it includes PF money, pension, and interest. You cannot do this while you are still working. The money taken while working is called partial withdrawal.
If you have left your job for two months, or you have two months before joining the next job, then you can withdraw all the money from your PF account. The process is online, and you can complete it easily using your mobile and the Umang app.

- Now click on Proceed For Online Claim.
- Select Form 19 in the option “I want to apply for.” Another form will open.
- Below this, you will see the option to submit Form 15G. You need to submit this form only if the withdrawal amount is more than ₹50,000 and you don’t want 10% TDS to be cut.
- Next, fill the address as per your Aadhaar card and upload a photo of a canceled cheque.
- Accept the terms, tap on Get Aadhaar OTP, verify the OTP, and submit the form.
Withdraw pension money like this

Check claim submission like this
To check if your forms are submitted properly, click on Online Services on the EPFO dashboard and go to Track Claim Status.
- After 3 days, you can check the status here. If you see Claim Settled, it means your claim is approved.
- You can also check your EPFO passbook to see when the claim amount is updated.
- You can also submit the PF withdrawal request through the Umang app. After selecting the EPFO option, you will reach the web version and can complete the same process there.
