To reduce this problem, the railway has introduced a new facility called the Round Trip Package.
What is a Round Trip Package?
Under this scheme of Railways, if a passenger books tickets for coming and going together, then he will be given a discount of 20% on the fare. That is, if you are going to your home during the festivals and have already planned to return, then booking both the tickets together will cost less fare. This will not only provide relief to the passengers, but the seats of the trains can also be planned in a better way.

When will this facility be available?
According to the information, the Railways will first start this scheme as a pilot project on 14 August 2025. If this experiment is successful and gets a good response from the passengers, then it can be implemented across the country.
Know on which dates you will have to travel
The Railways have already fixed the travel dates for this scheme. Under this scheme, the Railways has fixed the journey between 13 October to 26 October 2025. Talking about the return date, the Railways has fixed the date of travel between 17 November to 1 December 2025.

Know how much discount will be available
The Railways have fixed some rules for this facility. If you follow these rules, then you will be given a discount. The Railways have decided that both the tickets (coming and going) should be in the name of the same passenger. Along with this, both the tickets should be confirmed; only then will you get the benefit. No refund will be given on cancellation of tickets. Apart from this, no other promotional offer or discount will be applicable on these tickets. Also, both tickets will have to be booked together and through the same medium (such as the IRCTC website, app, or counter).
