Bihar Elections 2025: The names of 65 lakh people who have been removed from the voter list in the special intensive revision before the Bihar assembly elections will be made public. Opposition political parties are constantly attacking the Election Commission and the BJP on SIR. The Supreme Court has issued this order to the Election Commission.
During the hearing in the Supreme Court on Thursday, the Election Commission said it to provide data on all the names removed across the state. The Election Commission said that this list will also be made available in a searchable format. With this, any citizen will be able to easily check his name in the voter list. The opposition has been accusing the Election Commission and the Central Government of vote theft for a long time.

Election Commission clarified after the court order
After the increasing pressure from the opposition and the intervention of the Supreme Court, the Election Commission made it clear that the booth-wise list of the removed voters will be displayed on the notice board of the offices of the concerned BLO. Apart from this, this list will also be available in block development offices and panchayat offices.

With this, people living in rural and urban areas will be able to easily check their names on the voter list. A few days ago, the Election Commission released the draft voter list. There were allegations of votes being cut by making mistakes in the names removed from the list.
Reason for removing the name will have to be given.
The Election Commission’s decision came after the Supreme Court’s direction, in which the court had ordered the Election Commission to publish the list of all voters removed district-wise and explain the reason for removing the name. The court had said that it should also be told whether the name has been removed due to reasons like death, change of place or double registration.
Opposition continuously attacking
Opposition political parties have been continuously opposing the SIR. In Delhi, too, the opposition had taken out a foot march against the government and the Election Commission. Delhi Police had taken into custody the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and his wife Dimple Yadav.
