7th Pay Commission Update: The central government is looking very kind to the employees these days. The government has opened the treasury box for some central employees, due to which enthusiasm is being seen on everyone’s face. The government has surprised everyone by announcing to give double the transport allowance at the normal rate to the central employees falling under certain categories of disability.

Along with this, the Central Finance Ministries and Departments have also been asked to strictly follow this instruction. A large number of employees will get the benefit of this. It was clearly stated in a notification that a new list of categories of disability has been issued, amending the earlier instructions issued on 15 September 2022. Under this, the work of giving double transport allowance to the employees will be done. It has been approved under the Disability Rights Act 2016.

Disabled employees have to face many additional troubles in their lives. In this, especially travelling, in working life, is considered a big challenge. Therefore, doubling the transport allowance by the government is considered a big relief for the employees.

This will not only provide them with financial assistance but also promote social inclusion. Many types of suffering Divyangs are included in it. Victims of many categories will get the benefit of this. This includes leprosy, cerebral palsy, dwarfism, acid attack victims and disability due to spinal deformities or injuries.

Employees get many types of allowances.

For information, let us tell you that many types of allowances are provided to government employees. Dearness Allowance, i.e. DA, is revised every six months. Apart from this, HA is available at different rates according to the category of the city. Travel allowance, children’s education allowance are also given to the employees.

Hostel subsidy is also given. At the same time, there were already some additional allowances for Divyang employees, but now an updated instruction to double the transport allowance has been given.
