Hyundai is offering its biggest discount yet on the Ioniq 5 electric car. In August, the company is clearing the 2024 model year stock with a ₹4.05 lakh cash discount. This offer applies only if the car is available at the dealer. Launched in January 2023 at ₹44.95 lakh, its price later increased to ₹46.05 lakh. With the discount, the effective price is now ₹42 lakh.
Dimensions and Interior Design
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 measures 4634mm in length, 1890mm in width, and 1625mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3000mm. Its interior uses eco-friendly materials. The dashboard and door trims feature soft-touch surfaces. Armrests, seat upholstery, and the steering wheel get a unique pixel design. Hyundai says parts like the crash pad, switches, steering wheel, and door panels are coated with bio paint. Even the HDPI components can be fully recycled.
Infotainment and Safety Features
Inside, the Ioniq 5 offers a pair of 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and touchscreen. A head-up display is also provided. Safety features include six airbags, virtual engine sound, electric parking brake, four disc brakes, multi-collision avoidance brake, and power child lock. It supports Level 2 ADAS with 21 safety functions.
Battery, Range, and Charging
The Ioniq 5 has a 72.6kWh battery pack. It delivers an ARAI-certified range of 631km on a single charge. The car comes with rear-wheel drive only. Its electric motor produces 217hp and 350Nm of torque. It supports 800V ultra-fast charging, capable of charging from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes.
