The ‘Soil Health Card Scheme’ was launched by the Central Government on 19 February 2015. The goal of this scheme is to assist the states in providing soil health cards to farmers across the country.

Soil Health Card Scheme
Soil Health Card is given every three years. With this, the farmer also gets to know about the changes in the soil of his field from time to time. To take advantage of this scheme, rural youth and farmers aged 40 years are eligible. Farmers can establish a soil testing laboratory and do sample testing. So that crop production can increase, and income increases.
After this card is made, information about the health of the soil, the productive capacity of the field and the nutrients is known, from which suggestions are given later. Gradually, the quality of the fields increases.

How does the Soil Health Card work?

How to apply for a Soil Health Card?

- First of all, go to the official website of the scheme (soilhealth.dac.gov.in).
- Click on the Login option given on the home page.
- On the new page, select your State and click on Continue.
- On the login page, click on the Registration New User option.
- After filling in all the requested details, click on the Submit button.
- After registration, enter your ID and password to log in.
