Hyundai Creta Sales: SUVs have long been popular among Indian buyers, particularly small ones between 4.2 to 4.4 metres in size. Right up to June 2025, the segment also enjoyed high demand. Hyundai Creta was again the leader, dominating the Indian market.
Hyundai Creta Dominates with Over 15000 Units Sold
Hyundai Creta led the pack with 15,786 units sold during June. Both the regular and electric models are included in the sales. Although its monthly sales dipped by 3.11%, Creta still managed to capture a strong 37.55% market share for its segment. Numbers like these indicate that the popularity of Creta among consumers still persists.
Toyota Hyryder and Grand Vitara Trail behind the Race
Taking the second position, Toyota Hyryder did well with sales of 7,462 units, seeing a 74.55% increase from last year’s same month. This growth indicates increasing demand for hybrid and fuel-efficient SUV models.
Taking the third position, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara sold 6,828 units, even though it experienced a 29.46% decrease in annual sales. Nevertheless, it is still a favorite with many budget hybrid car buyers.
Kia Seltos Falls But Remains Within the Top Four
Kia Seltos took the fourth place with sales of 5,225 units. The SUV registered a 17.14% decline in year-on-year sales, exhibiting a marginally lower demand. Yet, Seltos still remains current in the compact SUV category.
Mid-Pack Contenders Tata Curvv and Honda Elevate
At fifth position, Tata Curvv accumulated 2,060 units sold in June. Its increasing design preferences and brand faith are assisting it in gradually pushing itself up the list.
Honda Elevate was at number six with 1,635 units sold, registering a 23.99% decline in sales from last year. Even though sales decreased, it is still among the favored lineup in this segment.
Mahindra BE 6 Enters the List with Over 1200 Sales
Mahindra BE 6 ranked seventh with 1,203 units. This new electric SUV is gradually developing a strong customer following, and the fact that it has entered the top 10 indicates well for Mahindra’s EV business in the future.
Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq Exhibit Mixed Performance
Volkswagen Taigun took the eighth spot with 1,168 units, posting a 23.11% drop. Its cousin, Skoda Kushaq, was at ninth place with 793 units, with a 33.89% decrease in sales. The two brands still pull premium customers, but recent reports indicate weakening demand.
