The midsize SUV market in India is buzzing with action, and June 2025 has proven it once again. Buyers are showing a strong interest in this segment thanks to the mix of tech, performance, and comfort these SUVs offer. From tried-and-tested models like the Creta to new electric entries like the XEV 9e, here’s how the top 10 midsize SUVs performed last month.
Hyundai Creta
Hyundai Creta remains the most popular midsize SUV in India. In June 2025, it sold 15,786 units, keeping its crown as the top-selling SUV despite a slight 3% drop in sales compared to last year. This figure includes both regular and electric versions of the Creta. Its consistent demand shows why Creta continues to be a trusted name in this segment.
Mahindra Scorpio
The Scorpio lineup, which includes both Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic, grabbed the second spot with 12,740 units sold. Mahindra’s focus on upgrades like ADAS features has helped boost sales, leading to a 4% growth from last year. The SUV’s rugged design and loyal fan base keep it going strong in this competitive space.
Toyota Hyryder
Hyryder posted an impressive performance in June. It clocked 7,462 units, up by a massive 75% compared to the previous year. This jump helped it overtake the Maruti Grand Vitara in sales. With its rising popularity, Toyota’s presence in the midsize SUV market is only getting stronger.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara
Once ahead of Hyryder, the Grand Vitara slipped to fourth place with 6,828 units sold. That’s a 29% dip compared to last year. Despite the drop, it remains a key contender in the segment due to its hybrid tech and brand trust.

Kia Seltos
Kia Seltos closed the month with 5,225 units, seeing a 17% decline in sales compared to last year. Even with the drop, it holds its ground in the top 10 thanks to its style and feature-rich cabin.
Mahindra XEV 9e
This is the only electric SUV on the list. The new Mahindra XEV 9e impressed with 2,808 units sold in June. This strong start reflects the growing interest in electric vehicles, especially in the SUV space.
Tata Curvv
Tata’s Curvv, which includes the EV variant, reached 2,060 units in June. As a fresh name in the market, these numbers show early signs of success. Tata seems ready to build its EV and SUV range further.
Honda Elevate
Honda’s Elevate took the ninth spot with 1,635 units. This marks a 24% drop from last year, but the SUV still stays in the race. Updates or offers could help improve its numbers in coming months.
Tata Harrier
