Hyundai Creta: Hyundai cars enjoy solid popularity among Indian buyers. But in June 2025, the company witnessed a yearly drop in total sales. Even with the dip, three of its SUV models—Creta, Venue, and Exter—continued to win customer preference in a big way, driving Hyundai’s numbers forward with over 65% contribution to total domestic sales.
Hyundai Car Sales in June 2025
Hyundai registered 44,024 domestic sales in June 2025, marking a 12% fall compared to the same month last year. In June 2024, the company had sold 50,103 units, showing that this year’s numbers were slightly lower. However, Creta, Venue, and Exter SUVs stood out by becoming customer favourites, despite this decline.
These Three SUVs Drove 65 Percent of Hyundai’s Sales
Among Hyundai’s lineup, Creta remained the top-selling model, though it saw a slight 3% dip, clocking 15,786 units in June. Venue secured the second position with 6,858 units sold, which was 31% less than last year. Meanwhile, Exter recorded 5,873 unit sales, facing a 15% decline. Together, these three models delivered 28,517 units, covering more than 65% of Hyundai’s total domestic sales for the month.
Hyundai Creta Features and Engine Options
Creta continues to attract attention with its high-end features and engine options. The SUV is offered with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment display, a fresh 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a voice-activated panoramic sunroof that contributes to its high-end allure.
Behind the bonnet, Creta has three power plants: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The base price of this SUV is ₹11 lakh, and the top-of-the-line variant is ₹20.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
What These Numbers Mean for Hyundai
While Hyundai’s total sales dropped, these three SUVs continued to maintain customer trust and demand. Their strong presence in the market suggests Hyundai’s strategy of offering a feature-rich and affordable SUV lineup is paying off.
