New Film Simulation Mode for Camera
The most notable shift in the camera department is the inclusion of a new film simulation mode. The feature introduces six preset analog film styles into the rear portrait mode, allowing users to take photos with an old-timey look. Honor has also included customizable watermark options like White Full Frame, Black Full Frame, and Film Border, all of which can be updated right from the camera settings menu.
AI-Driven Smart Cutout in Gallery
The gallery app in Honor has also seen the integration of an AI-powered Smart Cutout feature. The feature automatically cuts out subjects from a photo and lets one relocate them to other backgrounds. One can locate the new feature under the Magic Retouch option within AI Edit, further opening up creative editing options directly on the device.
Honor AI Writing Assistant Introduced
Another addition worth mentioning is the AI Writing Assistant in Honor AI & YOYO settings. This work tool can summarize, rewrite, translate, and adjust text length. To activate this feature, users will need to ensure that the Honor AI Basic Services app is current.
System-Level Improvements and AI Translate App
The update also includes system-level enhancements, including the feature to make dynamic gallery photos available for use as lockscreen wallpapers. There’s a new keyboard lift feature added to make shifting between voice and text input smoother. Additionally, Honor has included a standalone icon on the home screen for the AI Translate app, facilitating easier access to real-time translations.
Enhanced Cross-Device Sharing and iOS Compatibility

Honor Share now supports cross-brand file transfers with leading Chinese brands such as Oppo, Vivo, and Xiaomi. Provided both devices support file sharing, users can easily share content. The system also accommodates importing iPhone and iPad notes and contacts using Honor’s membership in the Cross-Platform Transfer Alliance.
Improved CarLink and Security Patch
Honor CarLink now supports QQ Music as well as major video sites like Bilibili, iQIYI, Youku, and Honor Video. Audio stuttering and silent playback bugs reported by some users are also fixed in this update. This release also includes the July 2025 Android security patch, which provides improved overall device security.
