Pune Bridge Collapse: The bridge built on the Indrayani river near Kundmala village in Pune suddenly collapsed on 15 June 2025. According to the initial information coming out, about 10 to 15 people are feared dead in the accident. When the bridge collapsed, many people were present on the same bridge.
Being Sunday, many children had gone to this bridge today to celebrate the holiday with their families. There is also a temple here, where a large number of people come to visit. This accident has happened in the Pimpri-Chinchwad police station area. So far 5-6 people have been rescued.
According to initial information, about 25 to 30 people have been swept away in the river. Some tourists have drowned due to the collapse of the bridge at Kund Mall in Maval, Pune. According to the information available, this incident occurred around 3:40 pm. There were also stones present in the part of the bridge that fell. People who fell on the stone have also suffered serious injuries. At the same time, many people have been swept away in the river current.
Following the accident, panic ensues among the people present. A government minister has arrived at the scene. It is reported that the victims of the accident had gone to see the flow of water in the river, and during that time, a significant accident occurred due to the collapse of the bridge. MLA Sunil Shelke has confirmed the death of 6 people due to drowning in the river. The death toll may increase even more.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has also expressed grief over the accident and consoled the victims’ families. CM Fadnavis said, ‘Rescue is going on at the spot’. The bridge has been closed for the last few days. People had come to see the rising water, and the accident happened. The rescue team has rescued six people so far.
