Ayushman Bharat Scheme- Under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), senior citizens aged 70 years and above in Delhi will start receiving the Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card from today i.e. Monday.
Free treatment will be available up to 10 lakhs
Under this scheme, senior citizens of 70 years or more in Delhi will be able to get free treatment worth Rs 10 lakh. In which free treatment worth Rs 5 lakh will be provided under Ayushman Bharat PMJAY and additional health insurance of Rs 5 lakh will be provided by the Delhi government.
More than 65 thousand voter ID cards have been made
In Delhi, 10 lakh 65 thousand 679 elderly people aged 70 years and above have voter ID cards. On April 5, an agreement was signed between the National Health Agency (NHA) of the Central Government and the State Health Agency of the Delhi Government to implement the Ayushman Bharat PMJAY scheme in the national capital. It was told that the government had then announced that there are about six lakh elderly people aged 70 years and above in Delhi, who will be issued Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card. This card will be issued to eligible elderly people of every social class.
This unique health card will contain information related to regular health checkups, treatment and emergency services of the elderly. The Delhi government will organize a program at Thyagaraj Stadium on Monday and start the work of registration of eligible elderly and distribution of cards. Registration of elderly will be possible in every district office.
Apart from this, public representatives will also register them. They can be registered through Aadhar card. After the issuance of this card, the elderly will be authorized for free treatment in hospitals registered with Ayushman Bharat. The elderly suffer more from problems like asthma, blood pressure, kidney problems, heart disease, cataract in the eyes, etc. In such a situation, the issuance of Ayushman Vaya Vandana card will also provide great relief to the elderly of Delhi.
