Delhi-Meerut Express will become a model for Express Way and Highway across the country. ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) technology is being used here. There are cameras installed in entry and exit points to repay the toll here, there will not have to be slow. The number plate will be taken from the camera of the speed. Since the number is a fastag link from the plate, the toll will be cut automatically. Similar toll recovery has been done on Delhi Meerut Expressway, which has been successful. According to the officials of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, all Expressives and National Highway Tolls will be recovered with this technology.

But there is a preparation for toll collection from the moving vehicle. GPS based technology will also not be charged toll. For this, tenders have also been issued at some places. With this technology, tolls will be charged across the country.

Recently, the Expert Committee had raised questions about safety on GPS -based toll technology. With this, if there is a disturbance in the GPS, then the problem may increase further, so the ministry has stopped the GPS stable toll model.
