Haryana SC BC Good News: The backlog of employees and officers of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes in the government departments and boards and corporations of Haryana will end soon. After the order of the state government, the Chief Secretary has already directed the administrative secretaries of all the departments, department heads and managing directors of boards and corporations in this regard. In the state, there is more backlog on the posts of Group-A and Group-B category officers as compared to Group-C and Group-D.

Advertisement issued

This issue has been raised many times in the Legislative Assembly. Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) and Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) are also issuing advertisements to fill the posts according to the reservation of SC and BC in regular recruitments, but the backlog is increasing due to not getting suitable candidates according to the number of posts. Not being able to fill the backlog of SC BC remains a big issue. Out of the total 7 thousand 129 employees of Group-A working in various departments of the state, 1249 belong to SC category.

177 posts of SC category are vacant in Group-A. The backlog of SC category officers in Group-B is 386. Out of the total 38 thousand 51 employees of Group-B, 7 thousand 224 belong to SC category. Out of 1376 employees of Group-A in boards and corporations, 202 belong to SC category. There is a backlog of 73 on Group-A posts. Out of 7129 officers working on Group-A posts in departments, 593 belong to BC-A.

There is a backlog of 191 posts of BC-A. BC-A gets 11 percent reservation in Group-A and Group-B jobs and 16 percent reservation in Group-C and Group-D jobs. Out of the total 38,051 officers working on Group-B posts, 4310 are from BC-A.

The government is taking every possible step

Haryana’s Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi says that every possible effort is being made to clear the backlog of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes in government jobs. Demand is sent to HPSC for Group-A and Group-B posts and to Staff Selection Commission for Group-C and Group-D posts. Soon, the backlog will be cleared.

Attempt to convert SC posts into general posts

Congress MLA from Jhajjar and former Haryana minister Geeta Bhukkal says that the government has no focus on clearing the backlog of SC-BC. An attempt has also been made to convert SC posts into general posts. The backlog in Group-A and Group-B posts has increased a lot. Due to the government, employees from these sections of the society are not getting the opportunity to go to higher posts.
