New Ration Card Rule: Benefits Will Stop for Some Cardholders After February 15! Check New Guidelines

The Government of India runs many schemes for the citizens of the country, benefiting crores of people. However, many people in India still struggle to arrange two meals a day. The government assists such people by offering rations at low prices or even for free under the National Food Security Act. This scheme is available in all states across the country. However, not everyone is eligible for the free ration facility. The government has set specific eligibility criteria, and only those who meet these criteria are given benefits. Ration cards are issued by the government to eligible beneficiaries.

New Ration Card Guidelines: E-KYC Mandatory to Continue Benefits

The government has issued a new guideline for ration card holders. Under this new rule, only a few ration card holders will be eligible for benefits. After February 15, those who haven’t completed e-KYC will no longer receive ration benefits.

Why is E-KYC Important?

The government has made e-KYC mandatory to identify fake ration card holders and ensure that only deserving people receive benefits. This process will help exclude ineligible individuals from the scheme.

How to Complete E-KYC

To complete the e-KYC process, you can visit your nearest food supply centre with your Aadhar card. Alternatively, you can also complete the e-KYC online. If you haven’t done e-KYC yet, it’s important to complete it soon to continue receiving benefits.
