8th Pay Commission: The official website of the Eighth Pay Commission, set up for central government employees, is regularly updated. Central employees pay close attention to each new update. Recently, another update has appeared on the Pay Commission’s official site. The question is: is this update relevant for central employees? Let’s explore.

PM Modi’s Mann Ki Baat

Currently, a banner is displayed on the Pay Commission’s official website. This banner is related to PM Narendra Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat” programme. This indicates that it is not directly connected to the Eighth Pay Commission’s recommendations or any changes to employees’ salaries or pensions. The banner on the Pay Commission’s website is simply a government publicity message.

According to the banner, PM Modi will deliver his “Mann Ki Baat” address on 29 November. This will be the 140th episode of the programme. If you wish for PM Modi to discuss your topics or concerns in an upcoming episode, you can send your suggestions. You may record your message for the Prime Minister in Hindi or English by calling the toll-free number 1800-11-7800. Some of these recorded messages might be included in the broadcast. Alternatively, you can give a missed call to 1922 and send your suggestions directly to the Prime Minister by following the link provided in the SMS.

It is worth noting that a banner about the 24th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was previously displayed on the Pay Commission’s website. A dedicated system has been set up on central government websites to promote government schemes and important announcements. This explains why banners for “Mann Ki Baat” or “PM Kisan” appear on the Eighth Pay Commission’s official website. The most recent notification on the Pay Commission’s website was issued on 21 September 2026, providing details about the Mumbai meeting held on 22-23 October.
