2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S: Kawasaki has launched the 2027 model of its popular cruiser motorcycle, the Vulcan S, in the Indian market. While the company hasn’t made any major changes to the bike, the new colour options, slightly higher torque, and modifications to the braking setup help it stand out.

The 2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S features a new colour scheme and updates to its torque and braking systems. The bike is powered by a 649 cc engine producing 61 bhp and offers a low seat height of 705 mm. It is priced at ₹8.23 lakh (ex-showroom), which is ₹10,000 higher than the previous model. Let’s take a closer look at the details.

2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S Price

The new Kawasaki Vulcan S is priced at ₹8.23 lakh (ex-showroom). This represents a price increase of ₹10,000 compared to the 2026 model. Despite the price hike, the bike’s mechanical package remains largely unchanged. It holds a unique position in the Indian market, as there are currently no direct cruiser motorcycle rivals competing against it.

2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S Engine

The 2027 Vulcan S retains the same 649cc parallel-twin petrol engine. The most significant change is in the torque output; the engine now generates 62.4Nm of torque, an increase of 1.4Nm over the 2026 model.

Interestingly, this torque figure matches the output of the 2024 Vulcan S. However, there have been no changes to the power output, and the bike continues to deliver a maximum power of 61 bhp.

2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S Braking Setup

For the 2027 model, Kawasaki has reduced the size of the brake rotors at both ends. The front now features a 272 mm disc brake, replacing the 300 mm disc found on the 2026 model. Similarly, the rear brake rotor size has been reduced from 250 mm to 216 mm. Despite these changes, dual-channel ABS remains standard for safety, just as before. 2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S: Suspension and Seat Height

There have been no changes to the Vulcan S’s suspension setup. It features a 41 mm telescopic fork at the front with 130 mm of travel. The rear is equipped with a linkage-type monoshock offering 80 mm of travel and adjustable preload. As a cruiser bike, it has a seat height of 705 mm, which is quite favourable.

New Metallic Carbon Grey Colour

The 2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S now comes in a new Metallic Carbon Grey colour. It features a subtle bluish-green tint, giving the bike an understated yet premium look. This new colour replaces the Metallic Flat Spark Black option that was available on the 2026 model.

2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S Features

In terms of features, the 2027 Vulcan S retains the same equipment as the previous model. It comes with an analogue-digital instrument cluster, while dual-channel ABS is part of the safety package. For this model-year update, Kawasaki has focused on aspects like engine torque, colour, and braking hardware rather than adding new electronic features.
