Updated 2026 Yamaha R15 V4 Launched – Check Price and Features

Updated 2026 Yamaha R15 V4: Yamaha has launched the R15 V4 with new updates. While there are no major mechanical changes this time, the Quickshifter is now available in new colour options, including Racing Blue and Matte Pearl White. The bike retains the 155 cc VVA engine, 6-speed gearbox, and Deltabox chassis found in the previous model.

In the 2026 Yamaha R15 V4, the quickshifter has been introduced in new colours, while the 155 cc VVA engine and sporty chassis remain unchanged. Let’s take a closer look at its price, engine, features, dimensions, and full details regarding the Quickshifter.

Quickshifter

Yamaha has expanded the availability of the R15 V4’s Quickshifter system to include the Racing Blue and Matte Pearl White colour variants; previously, it was offered only on the Intensity White variant. For the Racing Blue colour, the price is ₹174,850 for the non-Quickshifter model, while the Quickshifter-equipped version costs ₹179,500 (ex-showroom).

This Quickshifter is a unidirectional system, meaning it can only be used for upshifting. During acceleration, the rider can shift to a higher gear without pulling the clutch lever, allowing for smoother and quicker gear changes during spirited riding. However, the conventional clutch must still be used for downshifting.

155 cc VVA Engine

In terms of performance, the 2026 Yamaha R15 V4 retains the familiar 155 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine generates a maximum power of 18.1 bhp and a peak torque of 14.2 Nm.

The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) technology adjusts valve operation based on engine speed, helping to optimise power delivery across various RPM ranges. This technology is a key mechanical feature that contributes to the R15 V4 engine’s sporty character. Deltabox Chassis and Sporty Suspension Setup

This bike uses Yamaha’s Deltabox frame. For suspension, it features 37 mm upside-down forks at the front and a linked-type Monocross setup at the rear.

Braking duties are handled by a 282 mm disc at the front and a 220 mm disc at the rear; dual-channel ABS is also included. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels fitted with 100/80 front and 140/70 rear radial tyres.

Features

In terms of features, the R15 V4 comes with a bi-functional LED headlamp, an LED position lamp, and an LED tail lamp. It also features a digital instrument console that displays details such as gear position and VVA status.

Select variants offer features like smartphone connectivity and traction control. New colour options for the Quickshifter variant make the bike even more appealing.
