According to the weather department, the city’s maximum temperature was 35.4°C (1.2°C above normal), while the minimum was 27.6°C (0.6°C above normal).

The sky has remained overcast since morning, with light to moderate rain setting in across several areas. The drop in maximum temperature due to the rain has offered some respite from the heat. Forecasts indicate light to moderate rainfall during the morning, late morning, and afternoon hours. The intensity of the rain is expected to subside to very light levels by evening and night.
Consequently, Delhi will experience persistent cloud cover and intermittent rain throughout the day. The rain will bring relief from the heat; however, due to high humidity, it may still feel sultry after the rain stops.

According to the Meteorological Department’s forecast, the sky is likely to remain generally cloudy on August 12, with the possibility of light rain. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 34°C, and the minimum around 24°C. On August 13, the sky will also remain generally cloudy, with a likelihood of light rain or drizzle; temperatures are expected to range between 34°C and 25°C. For August 14, the maximum temperature is forecast at 33°C and the minimum at 25°C, with generally cloudy skies and a chance of light rain.
