Vivo X500 FE Launch Soon: Compact phones are getting this low-key moment, you know. While most flagships keep going taller and wider, there’s still this small set of buyers who actually want something that can sit in one hand and doesn’t feel like a total awkward trade-off. Vivo looks like it’s leaning into that same vibe with the X500 FE, a new handset that’s been showing up in certification stuff lately. Vivo hasn’t put out anything official yet, so yep, we’re stuck with leaks and filings drifting around, plus a few details that feel not fully locked in.
Where things are at

The X500 FE, model number V2653, has surfaced on Singapore’s IMDA equipment register and also in Indonesia’s TKDN database. These listings confirm the basics like 5G, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth and NFC, but they don’t really spell out the marketing name in full, or the entire spec sheet. Still, when you see this kind of approval trail, it usually means the phone is moving through the process, so it’s typically before launch. The weird part is that no clear launch date shows up anywhere. Also, Vivo’s bigger X500 lineup is already live in China, and it’s slowly rolling into Europe. Reports say the main X500 models are headed to India around late November too. For the FE version, though, nothing specific has popped up in official India updates… not yet.
Most likely design and display
The most repeatable leak snippets point to a compact 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED screen, 1216 x 2640 resolution, with a 120 Hz refresh rate. That would probably keep the overall size close to the X300 FE, which is honestly the comparison most people will make. For the frame, it’s expected to be slim and light, about 191 grams and 7.99 mm thick, and it kind of lines up with the earlier FE style.
Performance and battery, aka the confusing bit
This is where it gets messy, not gonna lie. One listing points to a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, 12GB RAM, and 256GB storage. But another source is saying it could be a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 instead. Then the battery story basically turns into a guessing game. Some reports mention a 6,500 mAh cell with 90 W wired charging, but another claim says it might include a 9,000 mAh battery. A 6,500 mAh option for something this compact does sounds plausible, but because Vivo hasn’t confirmed anything, both numbers are still in the “maybe” zone, not “confirmed”. Got it.
Camera details
Camera info is pretty much the cleanest part of the whole thing. It’s said to ship with a 50MP IMX921 main sensor with OIS, plus a 50MP IMX882 telephoto lens also with OIS, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. There’s also a 50MP selfie shooter. And yeah, telephoto on a smaller phone is a pretty big deal because a lot of compact models basically skip it like, straight up.
Price and timing for launch

India pricing is still a total toss up. One report suggests it could land around Rs 45,000 to Rs 50,000, putting it below the X500 Pro and somewhere near a mid premium lane. Another source claims it might show up in the first quarter of 2027, and that… is a bit much of a wait. Some listings even throw out a starting price of Rs 89,999, but that figure seems tied to the X300 FE, so it shouldn’t be treated as an X500 FE number.
Should you hold off?
If you’re actively hunting a compact phone, especially one with telephoto plus a more high end chip, then the X500 FE is definitely worth keeping an eye on. But if you need something soon, it’s safer to check what’s available right now. Wait for a real Vivo India announcement, then match the final price against the X300 FE and other compact rivals once all the actual details finally land.
