Vivo V80 Lite 5G: Vivo is likely to launch another new phone, the Vivo V80 Lite 5G, as part of its V-series portfolio. The upcoming Vivo V80 Lite was previously spotted on Bluetooth SIG and has now appeared on certification platforms like Geekbench and TUV, suggesting an imminent launch. Even before an official confirmation from the company, this upcoming V-series smartphone was spotted on the Google Play Supported Devices list, revealing its model numbers.
Speculation suggests that the Vivo V80 Lite 5G could succeed the V70 Lite 5G, which was launched earlier this year featuring a large screen and a powerful processor. The Vivo V80 Lite 5G is expected to arrive as a rebranded version of the Vivo S2.
Vivo V80 Lite 5G Spotted on Google Play Supported Devices List
The Vivo V80 Lite 5G has appeared on the Google Play Supported Devices list with model numbers V2576, V2643, and V2644. Apart from the model numbers and the name, the listing does not reveal any specific technical specifications of the phone.
Notably, the model number V2576 is also associated with the Vivo S2, suggesting the Vivo S2 may launch as the Vivo V80 Lite 5G in select international markets. Expectations suggest the Vivo V80 Lite 5G could feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it may be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo processor.
The Vivo S2 is set to launch in India today (August 6). It will be available in Regal Bronze, Sapphire Blue, and Silk White. Additionally, it will feature a 50-megapixel Sony IMX852 primary camera. There will also be a 32-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling.
Vivo V80 Lite 5G Expected Features
The Vivo V80 Lite 5G is expected to succeed the Vivo V70 Lite 5G; it may arrive with an 8GB RAM, 128GB storage variant.
It features the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo processor and a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen. The model sports a dual-rear-camera setup—highlighted by a 50-megapixel Sony primary sensor—and houses a 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging. According to reports, much like the Vivo V70 Lite, which was not launched in India, the Vivo V80 Lite is also unlikely to be released in the Indian market. However, the company has not yet made any official statement regarding this.
If the Vivo V80 Lite comes equipped with the Dimensity 7300e chipset, it could compete with mid-range 5G smartphones from brands like Motorola, Nothing, Redmi, and Realme after its launch.
