UP Home Guard PET Exam 2026 Postponed: Important news has emerged for candidates appearing for the Uttar Pradesh Home Guard PET (Physical Efficiency Test) and PST (Physical Standard Test). The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has postponed the UP Home Guard PET/PST exam, which was scheduled for September 14.

Although the test for candidates who qualified in the written examination was set for September 14, the Board said it postponed it due to continuous heavy rainfall. The Board made this decision in the interest of candidate safety, as waterlogging has occurred around exam centres in several districts. This recruitment drive aims to fill 41,424 Home Guard posts in Uttar Pradesh, and lakhs of youths have applied.

Why was the exam postponed?
According to the Board’s notification, the PET/PST exam has been postponed until further notice. The Board took this decision because of continuous rainfall across the state and waterlogging at the exam venues. The Board will issue a new order soon.

When will the new exam date be announced?
Information regarding the new exam date has not yet been shared. The Board will release a new schedule for the PET and PST exams soon. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the Board’s official website for the latest updates regarding the exam date.
