New Delhi: Provident Fund (PF) balances play a vital role for working professionals. Many employees rely on the UMANG app to monitor their PF balance, access their passbooks, and request withdrawals as needed. However, if you encounter technical difficulties with the app that disrupt your workflow, there’s no reason to be concerned. You have an alternative option—you can handle all your PF requirements directly through the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) official website.

How to view your EPF passbook and check your balance?

If you face any issues accessing EPFO services through the UMANG app, you can turn to the official website instead.
Begin by visiting the official EPFO passbook portal.
Input your UAN number and password.
Once you’ve logged in, pick the appropriate Member ID.
You’ll then be able to see your account balance details, contributions from both you and your employer, and any interest that has accumulated.

What are the steps to withdraw your PF funds?

To access your PF withdrawal, head to the EPFO member portal. Sign in using your UAN and password. Pick the online claim feature and select the claim type that matches your eligibility criteria. Complete the necessary details and send in your request.

Before submitting your claim, verify that your UAN is current and your KYC documentation is fully submitted. Any inconsistencies in your Aadhaar, PAN, or bank account details could cause delays in processing your application. If you’re asked to verify using an Aadhaar-based OTP during the process, finish the verification by inputting the OTP sent to your registered phone number.

What if you made a claim but the money didn’t come?

After submitting your claim online, you can check your application status using the Claim Status option available on the portal. Please note that submitting your application does not mean that the money will be credited to your bank account immediately. Claim settlement may take time.
