Weather Update: Many states in North India are currently experiencing severe heat and heat waves. According to the Meteorological Department, severe heat waves can be recorded in Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh until May 29.

On the other hand, Cyclone Ramal is going to enter West Bengal on May 26th, i.e., today. According to the Meteorological Department, on May 26, this storm can reach the coastal areas of West Bengal and Bangladesh with exceptionally strong winds.

At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding heavy rain in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, and Sikkim.

IMD has issued a high alert in Bengal and Odisha for May 26. Due to this storm, there may be rain and strong winds in other states like Tripura, Assam, Nagaland, and Manipur. According to IMD, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka may see heavy rains until May 28.

Delhi Weather

The heat wave may continue in Delhi till May 29. Strong, hot winds may blow in Delhi, and the daytime temperature may reach 45 degrees Celsius. According to IMD, the maximum temperature in Delhi can be recorded between 43 and 45 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature can be recorded between 31 and 32 degrees Celsius.

It will rain in these states

According to weather forecasting agency Skymet, there is a possibility of moderate rain with thunderstorms and heavy rain at some places in Gangetic West Bengal. On May 26 and 27, the sea conditions may worsen along the West Bengal and Odisha coasts.

There is a possibility of light rain and heavy rain at some places in Northeast India, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Andaman, and the Nicobar Islands. Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall is possible in Andhra Pradesh, South Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Sikkim, and the and the eastern parts of Bihar. Rain may be recorded in some areas of southern Chhattisgarh, Konkan and Goa, Vidarbha, Marathwada, and Rayalaseema of Uttarakhand.
