According to the IMD, coastal West Bengal, Odisha, and Bihar recorded temperatures between 42°C and 45°C. 4 to 8 degrees Celsius above normal, severe heat conditions may be seen in many areas.

Apart from this, an alert has been issued regarding severe heat in many areas, including West Assam, Tripura, South Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry. A warning has been issued regarding rain and thunder in Kerala, Mahe, and Lakshadweep.

IMD Alert Heatwave

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is going to be very hot in interior Karnataka in the next five days. Along with this, strong winds may blow in many areas of West Madhya Pradesh, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand. It is very hot in Odisha at this time.

Baripada and Balasore cities recorded temperatures of 46.4°C and 46.0°C, respectively. Jharkhand is also experiencing severe heat at this time. Baharagora, located in East Singhbhum district, recorded a temperature of 47.1 degrees Celsius.

There will be heavy rain in the next 24 hours

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain and thunder in Uttarakhand in the next 24 hours. Apart from this, light rain also occurred in Arunachal Pradesh and Snowfall is expected. Light rain may be seen at some places in northeast India. Rain may be seen in some areas of southern Chhattisgarh.
