What Do You Need to Know?
- Eligibility: Ensure your Jio number is active for at least 90 days and hasn’t been ported in the past 90 days.
- Porting Charges: Airtel might levy a nominal fee for porting, so check their website or ask a representative for details.
- Data Transfer: Unfortunately, your data balance won’t transfer with your number. Use it up before switching!
- Documents Required: Carry a valid ID proof (Aadhaar card, voter ID, etc.) and proof of address (electricity bill, bank statement, etc.).
Here’s the Roadmap:

- Send an SMS “PORT <your 10-digit mobile number>” to 1900 from your Jio number.
