The City sees a similar bump, with the base price rising from Rs 11.82 lakh to Rs 12.08 lakh. The top-end variant now costs Rs 16.35 lakh, an increase of Rs 5,000.
The Amaze’s price range has also been revised due to the discontinuation of the E variant. The sub-4-metre sedan now starts at Rs 7.93 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.86 lakh. The City e:HEV, available only in the ZX trim, carries a price tag of Rs 20.55 lakh.
The Engine Room Remains Unchanged
While the focus of this update is on safety and comfort features, there are no mechanical changes to the engines. The Honda City and Elevate continue to be powered by the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine churning out 121hp and 145Nm. The City Hybrid retains its 1.5-litre strong hybrid petrol engine that delivers a combined output of 126hp. The Amaze continues to be equipped with the tried-and-tested 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine rated at 90hp and 110Nm.
