Train Cancelled: Big shock for common people. Work is currently in progress to link the new bridge at Rajendra Pul station with the double line and to set up a primary line connection between Dinkar Gram Simaria and Barauni stations. As a result, pre-non-interlocking will start on September 21st, and non-interlocking work will be finished by October 4th. Due to this, operations at Rajendra Pul, Hathidah Junction Upper, Tal, Rampur Dumra in the Danapur division of Hajipur, and Dinkar Gram Simaria station in the Sonpur division will affect multiple sections of the East Central Railway.
This has caused major adjustments to train schedules, especially on the Jamalpur, Munger, Bhagalpur, Bhagalpur-Malda, and Barauni-Munger sections. Around 64 trains on the Malda division have been cancelled on different dates. This closure will lead to 338 train services being cancelled and 382 trains being rerouted from September 20th to October 4th.
How many trains were cancelled on which date?
6 trains cancelled on 20th September, 12 trains on 21st, 13 trains on 22nd, 15 trains on 23rd, 21 trains on 24th, 24 trains on 25th, 29 trains on 26th, 31 trains on 27th, 21 trains on 28th, 20 trains on 29th, 25 trains on 30th September, 32 trains on 1st October, 32 trains on 2nd October, maximum 36 trains on 3rd October and 21 trains on 4th October. Changes in Malda-Patna and Malda-Delhi trains also
13415 Malda Town-Patna Express will remain cancelled on 20, 23, 25, 27 and 30 September and 2 October. The return 13416 Patna-Malda Town Express will remain cancelled on September 21, 24, 26 and 28 and October 1 and 3. 14003 Malda Town-New Delhi Express will remain cancelled on 22, 26, 29 September and 3 October. 14004 New Delhi-Malda Town Express will remain cancelled on 20, 24, 27 September and 1 October.
Several trains will operate on the alternate route through Bhagalpur.
Trains traveling via Bardhaman-Rampurhat-Sahibganj-Bhagalpur-Munger-Barauni will follow an alternate path, including the 13019 Howrah-Kathgodam Bagh Express (September 25 to October 3), the 13021 Howrah-Raxaul Mithila Express (October 2 and 3), and the 13105 Sealdah-Ballia Express (September 26 to 29). These services will include extra stops at Rampurhat, Sahibganj, and Bhagalpur.
For the return journey, the 13020 Kathgodam-Howrah Barh Express will operate from September 25th to October 3rd, the 13022 Raxaul-Howrah Mithila Express from October 3rd and 4th, and the 13106 Ballia-Sealdah Express from September 26th to 30th via Barauni-Munger-Bhagalpur-Sahibganj-Rampurhat-Bardhaman. These services will feature extra stops at Bhagalpur, Sahibganj, and Rampurhat. This arrangement will offer substitute rail connectivity for travelers moving between Jamalpur-Munger and Bhagalpur.
The Purvanchal Express will also take the alternate Bhagalpur-Malda route.
The 15047, 15049 and 15051 Kolkata-Gorakhpur Purvanchal Expresses will be rerouted via Bardhaman-Rampurhat-Malda Town, Katihar-Barauni. Extra stops will be added at Rampurhat and Malda Town.
For the return leg, 15048, 15050 and 15052 Gorakhpur-Kolkata Purvanchal Express will travel via Barauni-Katihar-Malda Town-Rampurhat-Bardhaman with extra stops at Malda Town and Rampurhat.
Additionally, 15658 Kamakhya-Delhi Brahmaputra Mail and 15657 Delhi-Kamakhya Brahmaputra Mail will operate via the Grand Cord Kiul Gaya route.
