Train Cancelled: Important information for travelers heading to or from Bina Junction in Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh. Significant construction at the station will affect train operations for the next 60 days. Numerous trains will be cancelled, some will be rerouted, and various other trains will see changes in their schedules.

Following this disruption, passengers can look forward to improved and quicker rail services. The Railways has initiated a 60-day mega block for this project. Approximately 344 trains passing through Bina Junction will be impacted. A total of 170 trips on 16 trains have been cancelled, including services like Gwalior, Bhopal, Bengaluru, Damoh, and the Rajya Rani Bhopal Express.

Moreover, the routes for 48 trains have been modified. Twelve trains will terminate before reaching their intended destinations, while six trains will now depart from Malkhedi station instead of Bina. The schedules for 21 trains stopping at Bina have also been adjusted.

The railway will establish a third rail line connecting Aagasod to Bina station. This project will be executed in three phases: first Pre to Pre NI, followed by Pre NI, and finally NI work. The completion deadline is set for October 15th, but if the work is not finished on time, the schedule may be extended.

As part of the yard remodeling, the Railways will implement a total of 69 enhancements. The loop line of platform number 3 will be transformed into a third main line, enabling trains on this line to operate at the same speed as those on the main line.

The speed will increase from 15 to 30 kmph

Currently, the speed of trains in the Bina yard is approximately 15 kilometers per hour. After the work is completed, this speed will increase to 30 kilometers per hour. Additionally, trains will have less need to stop at outer or red signals, allowing them to proceed directly to the platform. The impact of the mega block may be felt more during the festive season.

Many people from Bundelkhand live in other cities and states for employment and return home for occasions like Rakshabandhan, Janmashtami, Ganesh Utsav, and Durga Puja. Cancellations or train diversions can make their journeys more expensive and difficult.

Check train status before travelling

Before leaving, be sure to check the status of your train. Check for cancellations, route changes, or schedule changes before leaving for the station.
