2027 Toyota Innova Hycross Facelift: The Toyota Innova Hycross is one of the most popular hatchbacks in the Indian market. This MPV has gained popularity for its comfortable cabin, powerful hybrid engine, and better space for the family. Now Toyota is preparing to introduce this car in a new update.
The company has confirmed the launch date of the Innova Hycross facelift on November 25, 2026. The car’s exterior design and interior have undergone many changes. The new model will have a larger digital display, updated features, and better ethanol compatibility. So let’s know about it in detail.
New design
Toyota has been testing the Innova Hycross facelift on Indian roads for the past several months. The images revealed during testing show that the company is going to make many changes in the front design of the MPV this time. The new front grille could be wider and angular than before. It also features a new front bumper and a new projector headlamp.
Apart from these changes, the new Innova Hycross is expected to feature pixel-styled LED fog lamps and new alloy wheels. The graphics of the taillamps at the back also show changes. Its side profile is expected to remain the same as before. Its window line, roofline, and overall body shape are unlikely to undergo major changes.
Interior
Now the company can offer better interior materials and new seat upholstery along with the earlier features in the new model. The distribution of features across different variants can also be changed. Talking about the digital display, the updated Innova Zenix in Indonesia gives some hints about the Indian model.
The hybrid variant features a 12.3-inch digital display instead of the old analogue instrument cluster. At the same time, the top variant gets a larger 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen instead of the 10.1-inch. The petrol variant comes with a 7-inch display.
Engine
The Toyota Innova Hycross is available with two petrol engine options. The first of these is the 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 173 hp of power. It comes mated to a CVT automatic gearbox.
The second option is the 2.0-litre petrol-electric hybrid engine. The engine produces 184 bhp of power and is mated to an electric motor. The engine is offered with an e-CVT gearbox. In terms of mileage, the current model returns an ARAI-certified mileage of 16.13 kmpl for the petrol variant and 23.24 kmpl for the hybrid variant. The company could retain both these engine options in the facelift model as well.
Ethanol Fuel
Another special update of the new Innova Hycross facelift can run on ethanol fuel. Toyota has already showcased a prototype of the flex-fuel Innova Hycross that will be able to run on petrol with up to 85 per cent ethanol blending.
It was powered by the 2.0-litre Atkinson Cycle petrol engine paired with an electric motor. Now, according to reports, the company can offer the ability to support E30 petrol or higher ethanol blends in the production facelift.
Price and competition
The new Toyota Innova Hycross facelift is expected to be priced between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 35 lakh, ex-showroom (Delhi). The company has not disclosed the official price yet. The price of different variants will be revealed at the time of launch. It will rival the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Invicto in the Indian market. Both MPVs are based on the same monocoque platform and petrol-electric hybrid powertrain.
