Tesla Roadster: Design and Features
The new Tesla Roadster features a highly sporty design, drawing inspiration from aircraft like the SR-71 and the F-35. Its rear wing serves more than just an aesthetic purpose; it helps maintain control at high speeds and can function as an airbrake when needed. Inside, the car is equipped with a steering yoke, a driver-orientated touchscreen, and adjustable pedals.
Battery and Range
As for the battery, the Tesla Roadster will utilise 4680-cell battery technology, offering a range of over 483 kilometres. Additionally, it is claimed that the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in just 10 to 12 minutes. It is equipped with two electric motors, delivering a power output of approximately 1 megawatt—equivalent to 1,341 horsepower. The vehicle will also feature carbon-ceramic brakes and an adjustable suspension system.

Variants
The Tesla Roadster is offered in three variants. The ‘Performance’ variant serves as the base model; it includes electric motors along with specialised suction fans mounted underneath the vehicle. These fans draw air from beneath the car to enhance its grip on the road. This variant can accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in just 1.6 seconds.
The ‘Thrust’ variant is equipped with four nitrogen thrusters, which provide additional forward propulsion. The company claims that this variant can accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in less than one second.
The most notable version is the ‘Rocket’ variant, which reportedly features 10 thrusters. According to the company, this variant can accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in under 0.59 seconds and reach a top speed exceeding 370 km/h. However, these are claims made by the company and remain to be verified in the final production model.
