The  large group of women gathered at the Satgawan Block and Zonal Office on Tuesday for the Chief Minister Maiya Samman Yojana. To manage the crowd, they were organized into a queue, and after hours of waiting, they learned why the funds for the scheme hadn’t been disbursed.

It turned out that many women hadn’t linked their Aadhaar cards to their bank accounts. Some had made errors when entering their account numbers, bank codes, and Aadhaar numbers online, and they were instructed to apply for corrections. Most were advised to ensure their bank accounts were linked to their Aadhaar cards.

At the same time, many women looked visibly upset. It was reported that hundreds visit the block office daily. Women like Anita Devi, Sunita Devi, and Sushila Devi mentioned that even though they provided the correct documents through the Pragya Kendra, typing errors had prevented funds from reaching dozens of accounts, leading to increased frustration as they repeatedly visited the block office.

Several women shared that those who received Rs. 7,500 in their accounts before Holi celebrated the festival joyfully, while those who didn’t receive the funds are still struggling with the issue. They often find themselves being sent to the Panchayat Sevak or told that their money will eventually arrive.

Additionally, there’s no information posted near any Panchayat Bhawan or Block Office about which women are eligible for the Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana or what documents are needed.

Women expressed frustration that many applications are stuck because of the Panchayat Sevak’s negligence, even though everything is in order. However, Panchayat Sevaks Baleshwar Yadav, Prasadi Yadav, and Kishun Yadav claimed that they don’t have any pending applications from women.
