Haryana Anganwadi requirement: In Haryana, 2549 out of 25,962 posts of Anganwadi workers, 4,439 out of 25,450 posts of helpers and 118 out of 1,016 posts of supervisors are vacant. Women and Child Development Minister Shruti Chaudhary has given this information in response to an unstarred question asked by MLA Pooja in the Assembly.
By when will the vacant posts be filled
Pooja asked what is the district-wise sanctioned and current number of helpers, workers and supervisors in the Anganwadis, Play-ways of the state, by when will the vacant posts be filled. On this, the minister said that at present 25,962 posts of Anganwadi workers are sanctioned. Out of these, 23,413 posts are filled and 2549 posts are vacant.
Similarly, out of 25,450 posts of Anganwadi Helper, 21,011 posts are filled and 4439 posts are vacant. 1016 posts of supervisor are approved and 898 posts are filled and 118 posts are vacant.
Proposal under consideration with the department
Women and Child Development Minister Shruti Chaudhary said that the proposal to fill the vacant posts of Anganwadi workers and helpers is under consideration with the department. Keeping in mind the guidelines of the Government of India of August 2022, the matter of preparing selection criteria for the appointment of Anganwadi workers and helpers is in process in the department. The vacant posts of Anganwadi workers and helpers are likely to be filled in 2025.
Demand has been sent to HSSC
The minister also informed in his reply that the recruitment process for filling the vacant posts of supervisors is done by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC). The department has already sent the demand for 101 vacant posts to the Haryana Staff Selection Commission between December 2022 and June 2024. As soon as the recommendation for appointment is received from the Haryana Staff Selection Commission, the vacant posts of supervisors will be filled.
