Haryana Transport Minister: Union Energy Minister and former Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar reached Ambala Cantt to celebrate Holi festival, where he was warmly welcomed by party workers under the chairmanship of Transport and Energy Minister Anil Vij. Here both the leaders played Holi with flowers and wished all the people of the state a Happy Holi festival.
Demand for Metro to Ambala
Transport Minister Anil Vij said on this occasion that as Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar had left no stone unturned to make this dry city colorful by giving many gifts to Ambala Cantt. Today he is again demanding something for Ambala. He said that Chandigarh is the capital of Haryana, but reaching Chandigarh from Ambala is becoming difficult day by day. Traffic pressure has increased a lot on the roads going to Chandigarh. People have to face traffic jams. A journey of a few minutes is turning into hours.
Anil Vij said that in view of this, he demands from Union Minister Manohar Lal to operate the metro from Ambala to Chandigarh. This will save people time in travelling. Chandigarh commute will become very easy. Let us tell you that work has started on the plan to run the metro in Chandigarh and by 2031, metro operation is expected in Tricity Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula.
Country service is priority
Energy Minister Anil Vij said that Manohar Lal and I are students of the same university (RSS) and we are taught how to work for the public. Taking the country and the state forward is the biggest priority. While working, we have had differences many times, but this is the demand of democracy. We used to have differences on issues, but the beauty between us is that he convinces me and I convince him.
