Haryana News: Many private hospitals in two districts of Haryana, Panipat and Nuh, have come under suspicion. The government will investigate these hospitals. Many hospitals in Panipat are accused of fraud in the bills of ESI patients. When this issue was raised during the question hour in the assembly, CM Naib Singh Saini announced an investigation.
BJP MLA from Panipat City Pramod Kumar Vij said that the ESI hospital is running in a ruined building. The Labor Department has put 21 private hospitals of the district on the panel for the treatment of workers. He alleged that patients are referred from ESI hospital to private hospitals. Taking the names of many hospitals, he raised questions on the number of patients referred to hospitals and the payments made by the government.
Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini took charge
Development and Panchayat Minister Krishna Lal Panwar answered in the absence of Labor Minister Anil Vij. When Pramod Vij was not satisfied with his answer, Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini took charge. CM informed that an amount of Rs 34 crore has been given to the private hospitals included in the panel. Also, CM announced that an ESI hospital will be built on 8 acres of land in Panipat. He said that this decision has been taken in view of the number of workers in Panipat.
34 crore paid to 21 private hospitals
Pramod Vij said that the government has paid Rs 34 crore to 21 private hospitals. Out of this, Rs 26 crore has been given to only four hospitals. Demanding a vigilance inquiry into this matter, he said that a list of those patients who were treated should be taken from private hospitals. This list should be matched with the list of patients referred from ESI hospital. He claimed that a big fraud will come out in this. After this, CM announced to get this matter investigated.
