A big decision has been taken by the Gram Panchayat of Haryana to give plots to all the poor sections. At the same time, for those villages which do not have land, the state government will transfer up to 1 lakh rupees to the accounts of eligible people so that they can buy their own house.

However, there are exclusions: houses built on land such as ponds, ferns, or agricultural land will not be eligible for ownership rights.
According to Development and Panchayat Minister Krishna Lal Pawar, the Haryana government had previously allocated free plots to poor people but had not provided the registry for the plots. Now, the government has decided to give ownership rights by transferring possession and registries to these families. Additionally, survey work is underway to provide homes or land to around 5 lakh people.
There are further plans to give financial assistance to those in villages lacking land. The government will transfer up to 1 lakh rupees to the accounts of eligible people, allowing them to buy their own house. The Chief Minister is expected to announce these benefits as part of a significant gift to the people during the New Year, with the first phase likely being launched soon.
